Epaulets Biographies
Just a few pictures right now.  Celebrity provided us with short biographies of the main ship officers.   For details of who is who on the ship, here is the link. Each officer literally carries his rank on his shoulder.  The shoulder boards- called epaulets signify the rank and the department of the person.  Which epaulet signifies which rank?  Click here!

Our ship photography crew.  These guys were around all the time taking pictures of everyone.  I had to reciprocate and take pictures of them. (When I offered to sell them the photographs or swap them for the ones they took of us, they laughed.....)

I particularly like this shot.  It was taken during the Cruise Critic get together in the Hemisphere Lounge.  It was a beautiful day at sea and the photographer was getting ready to snap a picture of the Cruise Critic group.  I had to make a mad dash to get into the picture.

The assistant chef who gave us the tour of the galley area.  He was extremely interesting to talk to and he gave a very nice tour.  It was really interesting how "matter of fact" he treated everything!  Those of us in the tour were totally enthralled with every little piece of equipment while he could not really see why we would be so interested in blenders, soup pots, and prep centers!

This is one of the very patient people at the front desk.  She put up with a lot from me asking questions about the ship, the people, and epaulets.  I told her that I would give her special recognition on this page.  Here it is!

The Captain. I gave my camera to another one of the passengers so that this picture could be taken.  All three of us got chopped.  The captain was a delight and according to my wife "He looks like a Greek god" with his build and curly hair.  That became his running description with us and the people at our table for the rest of the cruise.  Incidentally, this picture was taken during the Captain's party for Captain's Club members.  We literally joined the Captain's Club that afternoon and the kind person at guest relations gave us a card to get into the Captain's party that night.
